The Institute of Arts Administration and Education of CAFA
Flowers bloom in April. Birds sing in May, and the Sun shines in June. Entitled “Then & Now”, “the 2020 Online Graduation Season of Central Academy of Fine Arts " was officially opened on May 20th. After a spring of brewing and polishing, comes the 2020 Graduate Students’ Graduation Works Exhibition of the Institute of Arts Administration and Education as scheduled following the enthusiasm of the summer. As the institute’s annual public academic activity, this exhibition takes the theme of “We Know the World, We Change the World, and We Make Contributions to the World”. With the degree thesis being the center, the thoughts and research results of the 30 graduates of our institute over the past three years are wonderfully presented in the "cloud", continuing the core planning ideas and characteristics of the“Graduation Works Exhibition”of our institute. With the degree thesis being the center, the thoughts and research results of the 30 master graduates of our academy over the past three years are wonderfully presented in the cloud.
Two narrative dimensions, "horizontal" and "vertical" are set up at the exhibition. Based on the professional training direction of graduates of the Institute of Arts Administration and Education, five thematic chapters are displayed , including "Art Management Research", "Art Education Research", "Art Economics Research", "Art Exhibition and Planning Research" and "Art Law and Art Psychology" , forming the "horizontal" structure of the exhibition.
Each of the five chapters contains rich and profound topics. They not only display the academic framework and dimensions of our graduate teaching in a panoramic manner, but also constitute a grand view of the global art management discipline and art education discipline to a certain extent.
In each theme chapter of the exhibition, there are several individual exhibition units of graduate students. A "vertical" structure is established in each unit connecting "topics"-"keywords"-"three questions around the theme of the thesis"-"mind map"-"summary of chapter contents" by mixing pictures and texts, which traces the thinking and writing logic of the degree thesis and analyzes the key content of the thesis.
Here a personal "academic document exhibition" is created with the clear structure, rich visual form, and cutting-edge technology complementing each other, which fully reflects the students' academic attention, research ability, and spiritual outlook. The 360-degree panoramic virtual exhibition mode restores the situation of watching the exhibition on site, and the hyper-linked document exhibition mode meets the public's need to read the exhibition intensively.
The exhibition especially provides "face to face" opportunities for graduates and the audience in the hyperlink mode--through the online video specially recorded, graduates talk personally about his / her study life of three years and perception in the institute and message to the future. Their words are filled with precious memories of the past.
In addition, portraits of 64 relevant and important art figures from the dissertation are selected for the exhibition, forming several "air matrices" in the hall. They, who created and changed the picture of today's world art, are windows for students to understand the art world. Today, the figures and the students get together in the same time and space, witnessing the prosperity and development of the academy, as well as the spiritual outlook and academic growth of the leading figures in the future art world.
As a platform for graduates to self-organize and display themselves, this exhibition aims to show the achievements of graduate teaching in the Institute of Arts Administration and Education from multiple levels, explore new ideas and new models for the brand academic exhibitions of the institute actively, further enhance the knowledge and understanding to the institute and the subjects of art management and art education for academic circles and the public at home and abroad, and contribute to the healthy development of social culture and public education.
Then, you embraced innocence, rushed to your ideals, swayed tears of laughter in the verdant campus, and became more tenacious in the temper of youth. Now, you have taken steps and are ready to go, carrying the experience and thoughts and academic achievements of these years. You have vowed to be full of passion and enthusiasm this summer. Then, we met together in the playground, classroom, library and under the blue sky. Now, you and me, who are about to embark on a journey and scattered on the horizon, have drawn a successful conclusion for the three-year study career in the cloud. Then, we tried to know and perceive the world. Now, we must strive to change the world and contribute to the world. Let us start from here with joy and warmth, looking forward to a brighter tomorrow .
